Langebaan recently charted it’s own Rotary Club

Under the expert guidance of Rotary Waterfront we managed to enrol 26 members and nearly 100 attended (from far and wide) the charter event at the Fossil Park on 21 May

Rotary is ‘ Service above self” dedicated to local Community and Service. Some of the great work and events Rotary has initiated – are the Cape Town Cycle Tour, International student exchange, World wildlife, libraries and many similar large scale projects. Having about 35,000 Clubs with1.2 Million passionate Individuals around the World, Rotary has over the past 92 years been able to mobilise International funding for worthy projects. Our West Coast has plenty projects in the field of education, employment, tourism and sport and more… all working towards similar goals.

Rotary has a proven track record uniting such efforts under the Rotary umbrella without detracting from the efforts of participants. Langebaan has an urgent need for a high school and Rotary could play a significant role in realising this dream..

LBN Rotary’s goal is to attract younger members, who like to learn new skills and diversify meetings and gatherings into fun open occasions.

We plan many fun and fundraising events in the future .. our next event is a 9 km Spring walk and picnic at the boma of the Jacobsbaai Flower Reserve on 3 and 4 September

Rotary has an enviable record of attracting Corporate and Foreign participation in worthy projects on the strength of its unquestionable ethical standards. Thereby boosting available funding.

If you would like your business to be associated with Rotary for social investment; please Jolene Butler-Wicht on rotarylangebaan@gmail.com for a Corporate Membership application.
